Balance for Better Celebrated by SARANI with Solemnity and Glory
Now, when the entire world is shouting on a single day to celebrate the co-existence of women in the world, there are few people and organizations who silently keep their work on progress throughout the year. Depending on the current scenario, it can be easily stated that no matter how progressive we claim as a woman, there are still a few hindrances that drag us back in different aspects.
Balance for Better is the theme for this year's International Women's Day. To make it a memorable one SARANI(Society for Action on Rehabilitation, Awareness, Networking and Information) has come forward with their valuable thoughts and strategies. With the progress and passage of time, it is seen that women today are no more just a wife, mother, and daughter anymore, they have crossed the boundary and proved themselves in different spheres of life.
The entire occasion was graced by the presence of eminent Danseuse Alokananda Roy, Sudeshna Roy, West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights member, celebrated music director Shri Debojyoti Mishra, Soumitra Roy, member of the West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights and singer.
The team SARANI along with the guests wanted to focus on the upliftment of the women in our society on the whole. It is not only the physical or financial upliftment they talked about but also psychological growth gained importance.
Talking to Antara Ghosh Sharma, the chief organizer of the event by the independent NGO 'SARANI', it was pretty clear that she focuses on the growth of a society where women will not be judged by their gender. There will be a balance for betterment. Every now and then women and men should work together to make it a better world. Women should not fear the existence of men but they should be proud of their presence in their life. Same goes with every man.
Debojyoti Mishra himself believes that learning to respect any woman starts from home itself. If we can teach the younger generation how to behave and respect women then nothing is better than this. According to him, this is a brilliant initiative by SARANI and it will be beneficial for many women today if they can really continue their hard work like this.
