On 30th March 2019, AIFSS (All India Federation of Sreehatta Sammilanis) came up with a cultural night in Kolkata. People from various nooks and corners of India came down to Kolkata for attending the prolific show.
The show commenced with the inaugurating speech of the President of AIFSS, Smt. Krishna Das and continued introducing the team members who have been working in all their 15 branches for supporting the needs of the patients and destitute. They aid the people living in old age homes, support the poor children for studying, health camps, blood donations, the library for all and many such productive and beneficial activities.
Honourary figures like Dr. Kaushik Ghosh, Orthopaedic surgeon, and actor along with Mr. Neelotpal Choudhury, executive director, Eastern Chronicles and Jugasankha attending the evening making it a distinctive one.
'Arpan', the cultural night started with the introductory dance performance 'Mangalacharan' by Shinjan Nrityalaya. Soon after Calcutta Youth Choir gifted the audience a few striking numbers that actually made the listeners peppy for a while.
The evening continued with the marvelous act by Ghotigorom Productions. The team acted out four touching and realistic stories of Tagore that grabbed the attention of the mass that night. They came up with the true virtues of art and culture through their acts of the Tagore poems like 'Krishnakali', 'Shesher Kobita', 'Abhishar' and 'Hori Khela'. Performers were felicitated by the AIFSS member as the team includes both reputed and aspiring doctors of KPC Medical College and Hospital.
Madhuparna, the singer who hails from Mumbai has come all the way to Kolkata to come up with a beautiful Ghazal performance igniting the spirit of the charity show. Deepabali Dutta also stole the show with her melodious voice and a few ear soothing numbers.
Musical performance by Shri Pranesh Som deserves special mention for the night as he and team Dohar helped the audience to stay back to their seats till night.
Overall, the show stood outstanding with the great initiatives from AIFSS members and they are hopeful to grab a dominant position in India and help more people with time.
